World famous: Carl Auer von Welsbach

The history of Treibacher Industrie AG began with a man who was one of the most important researchers of his time. In 1898, Carl Auer von Welsbach founded a company initially called Treibacher Chemische Werke. The famous scientist’s work was primarily focused on spectral analysis and rare earths, areas which are still paramount in our activities today.
