Mixed Compounds
We produce salts and solutions from several materials (including metals such as Co and Ni), combined with rare earths or refractory metals. These mixed compounds are available in a range of compositions. These are some of the most popular mixed compounds:
Cobalt aluminate (CoAl2O4)
Cobalt aluminate is used as a colour pigment in the glass industry and is also employed in the investment casting process as a particle refiner in the ceramic shell molds (facecoat). For unidirectionally solidified steel and Ni and Al castings, it reduces the particle size and thereby improves the mechanical properties.
